Hello! im still pretty new to s4s so hopefully i am posting this in the correct place (sorry if not!) & ive tried searching everywhere for another thread that maybe answered my question but couldnt find any, so if this is answered in another tutorial thread im also sorry!
Anyways, i am interested in trying out hair retexturing myself and all last night i watched many tutorials on how to create them, after a while i finally created one that wasnt too horrible haha but now i would really like to use that same texture with different colours, mainly more natural tones.
Im wondering how do you use your same texture and apply it to multiple colours, i mean you can change saturation/hue after but that doesnt give me natural tones, i can only get brighter or dark unnatural colours or i can probably just create new ones for every single colour but then they wont look the same in terms of where highlights or shadows are on the texture, it would be hard to recreate the exact same steps.
Ive also seen some posts on tumblr about actions or colour actions? (example. pooklets actions or WMS actions) that you download into photoshop and use those for each hair?? but im totally clueless on what those do or how to use them
Sorry if this doesnt make much sense hopefully im explaining what i would like to do properly!

you can try turning the saturation all the way down so it is 50% black and 50% white. so gray. then you can add a color overlay of whatever color you’d like to do.
