I made a skirt, and textures from a lot of tops keep bleeding onto the skirt in my game. And vice versa. Is there something wrong with it that's causing this? Here's the package file
Pic of the issue:

I'll see if I can spot the problem.

Are the tops giving you this bleed only CC? The place you put the skirt texture is kind on a "dead zone" for EA meshes, and "left over" stuff there would not bleed into anything because usually there's nothing there, but in your case that's where the skirt is so it could be catching the "bleed" of another creators "left over" texture.
See how it skips the top (skirt top is placed on the left) and appears on the middle of your skirt. Try looking at the texture of a shirt that gives you the bleed and see if there's anything left there from the creator. If there's no "left over" from the other creator, someone else here will surely help you out.
ps.: actually, I think that's where the bottom of the top goes, if I'm not mistaken, so no "left over".
Just the round bottom that usually closes tops and skits.

Ahh I didn't realize the placement mattered (total newbie - this is my first go at making a clothing mesh). This was the original EA placement for the skirt texture in the Seasons swim cover-up dress that I used to make the skirt. I didn't move the texture around at all. But I guess if I just slide the skirt bottom under the waistband, it should fix the issue. Thank you! This was very helpful.

The problem is because you have some of the skirt texture mapped in the "bottom" (dark purple/pink area)section. This doesn't matter on full body outfits because you cannot layer them with other clothing items. You need to edit the texture by either scaling or remapping it so that the texture fits into the green "top" space instead.

it's honestly fine where it's mapped. people just won't be able to make custom shirts where the uv is placed there. you could place it in the blue area on the legs or right beside the legs. but it's truly fine where it is. it only needs to work with EA shirts and meshes. other shirts are other people's problem.

it was already explained above how to do it. download the image here and place it in your blender and put it in the blue space like i said above. then you'll have to bake the texture so you know where you placed it and then change the positioning of the 2D texture in ur 2D editor.

I already placed it in the blue bottom section a few hours ago. Now it's conflicting with the legs because it would need to be scaled smaller on the y axis to fit there and not overlap the leg texture. However, I don't necessarily want to do that because it would reduce the quality of the texture. Hence, I'm still here asking if there is a better place to put it. Someone above suggested the green top space. I'm waiting for their reply to my comment.

you will have to reduce the size of it if you put it in the green space. if this is a bottom clothing item, you should opt to put it in the blue space. otherwise it will more so conflict with cc shirts if you put it in the green space. and as for the quality of texture, you can double the size from 2048x1024 to 4096x2048.

I figured it would bleed from cc shirts more if I moved it there. That's why I was asking why they suggested it. Nvm I guess. I would rather it just have a tiny bleed from being in the dead space than that. Do you have a link or anything explaining how to double the size of textures?

It was late when I made my reply and I confused myself looking back and forth at the images. It would indeed need to be mapped in the bottom area.
May I just ask, are the legs of the Sim fully modelled under the inside of the skirt? If so then you can simply delete the parts of the leg mesh that are never seen in game and move your skirt UV to that section of the map instead. No need to use the "extra" space at all.
