that may be helpful! I was trying on necklace category. then can I choose "any" necklace in step 2? (+is it no matter pendant or choker?) :D

It shouldn't matter the kind of necklace because they all use the same spot on the texture template, but they may be a bit too small for your mesh. Maybe you could use something that looks more like your item for the uv_1 and weight.

uv_0 is what you will see in game, and that's what you will have to unwrap manually/place it properly on the texture template area (aka, if you want it to be on the necklace category place the uv map on the necklace spot). I never had problems, but if you are worried can wait for someone with more experience/can explain it better to reply c:

hi! the video tutorial video is the only one you should be following in my opinion, there's no "other" tutorial.
I believe the problem here is the mesh, there's not enough vertices for it to bend properly... try using the cut and slide tool on the side bar to create more rows seeing the torso area. if you don't know how to use the tool then look up videos for that.

Hi 100dou. Just to add to the noise here, a couple of things:
1) I have never seen the MD turorial, but one thing that is immediately apparent to me with your UV is that the front of the cape is UV'd directly over the back. The Sims 4 engine does not like things like that, so you will need to split the mesh at a side seam to be able to map the front & back in separate places (prolly covered in the MD tut, IDK).
2) Category doesn't matter, per se, for something like this. You would be best cloning anything from anywhere (the Vader set?), then later changing the item's category to whatever you wish. Mind, you will need to look at something such as how the Vader cape is UV'd to see what is available to not conflict with anything else, texture-wise.
3) There is, AFAIK, only 1 *proper* uv_1 base image, and you are showing the uv_0 one. The uv_0 one simply has the wrong dimensions to make a proper uv_1 with. *If* you wish to try to transfer a uv_1 from another item (again, category doesn't matter, similarity does), you will need to have Blender 2.78+, and search for the corresponding video tutorial, as earlier versions simply do not have the full capability.
Also, I just realized that be cloning a necklace, you will not be getting all of the bones you need/want to have the cape be able to 'drape'/move down/not look like a tent all of the time. Again, I would point you towards the Vader cape, but be aware that one has a ton of 'extra' cuts to it, so is not the 'perfect' example to clone from, but rather to look at for reference...
Like I said, just adding 'noise' to your post... Cheers.

I'm using blender 2.76 and it has full capability to transfer uv_1 (and weights) and uv map properly the uv_0. Any blender version compatible with Sims 4 studio can do eveyerthing needed for The Sims 4 items.

I'm sorry to say that but isn't there other way? 1-1. If not, can I transfer this uv_1? although this is kind of earring 2. I found one difference after you advise me. should I cut the same? then what do I search on youtube?

Let's see, i belive you're confusing terms or how they should be applied. The CAS category or the place the reference mesh it's been mapped (on the uv_0) means nothing in regards to uv_1. The principle of uv_1 is using a reference mesh that is SIMILAR or INCLUDES geometry that your mesh has. Example: You're mapping a cape, therefore you should use a nude top as reference mesh. You're telling blender to create a proper uv_1 for your cape that resembles the uv_1 from the nude torso that is were your MESH IS SITING. If you were to create some pants, then you'd use some nude bottoms. If it's a belt, a nude bottom.. and so on. Clone a nude top, export it's mesh. Append to your blender and follow the video tutorial using the top as reference mesh. As for the mesh per se, as i mentioned on my last post the tool is called "loop-cut and slide". You can find it on the side bar in edit mode. Please see this video tutorial to learn what it does and how to use it.
