So since the seasons update all the plant textures in S4S are messed up. They are all partially see-through and pale. I want to convert some trees, but with this weird texture I cannot. Is there any fix for this? It kinda looks like they all got stuck with their winter texture. I have tried everything I can think of. But short of unistalling Sims 4 and reinstalling without seasons, or attempting to find an older pre-seasons version of S4S I have not found a way to fix it.
Thanks in advance!!

I'm having the same problem as well, all I can see appear to be faint winter textures. Does anyone know a solution?

Have you checked the Warehouse tab which lists all of the resources in a package to see if the other leaf textures are in there?

menaceman44 Sorry for my late response, I've been out of town for a few days and haven't had access to my game. I've checked the Warehouse tab like you suggested and exported all textures I could find, but the other leaf textures are not there.

Here you go, I've taken the American Beech tree that shipped with the base game as an example. Hopefully I've done everything right: American Beech Tree

Right then, after having a little look at the tree in the game and the texture in photoshop, it appears that the "transparency" is what tells the game how to change the colours, so there won't actually be any extra textures for the seperate seasons.
I'm going to go ahead and say that you will have to work with the DDS image format to be able to edit tree textures accurately.
I'm not sure how it works but I painted some white patches over some of the grey alpha areas and those sections did not change colour when I tested it in game. So I ended up with some leaves which had changed colour for Autumn with sections of bright green in the middle where I had drawn on it. Black alpha still removed the texture completely.
I think it is unfortunately one of those object types now that Studio will not be able to accurately represent what you will get in the game. You will need to actually test in the game each time you do something to the textures to see what it will actually look like.

Ok I will try that for now, and who knows, maybe things will change with a future update of S4S. Thank you for all your help!

Hello everyone, the issue for me still hasn't been fixed but I've found a workaround for the semi-transparent texture issue that's been staring me in the face the whole time: open the foliage texture with your image editor program, copy the image and just paste it on top of itself a few times. Afterwards flatten your layers and you'll end up with normal looking foliage. I'm using Photoshop, and for my example of the brazilwood tree that shipped with Jungle Adventure I used about 20 layers for the texture. Hope this helps!

Just to add (hopefully) a bit of clarification about this: This is most certainly NOT an issue with S4Studio. Studio is performing exactly as is always has, and as it should. This 'issue' is because with Seasons, the official team changed ALL (well, most anyways) of the game's foliage textures to have that kind of gradiented alpha, which is what the game uses to determine the foliage appearance during different seasons. If you remove that multi-level alpha, you will have 'regular, old plants' in-game, which will stick out like a sore thumb during the 'off' (read: non-summer) seasons. The appearance of the foliage in the top screenshot is simply how Studio displays alpha in its preview window.
A simple trick to make 'old-style' always-green foliage is to simply address the alpha channel of the foliage, such as decreasing the contrast, then increasing the brightness.
Cheers.

If you are going to go that route then export and open the textures as .dds files. You can just remove the alpha data that way instead of having to copy and paste the texture on top of itself multiple times.
