I followed a tut that author is a cc creator and uses S4S and GIMP. She used a plant and a gnome. The plant is used to import the mesh into S4S. The gnome is used to make the pillow be non-interrupting when the sims uses the bed or seating furniture. I followed the tut precisely. When I went into the game to take screenshots, The pillow became red and the error message stated "object is missing the footprint resource." What does this mean? How do I fix it? Anything on this would be of great help. Thank you in advance for helping me out. here is the pack file for the pillow for beds only and this one is for seating furniture. (I created two because of the rotation of the pillows and the moo cheat in game won't help.)

update: I found a post in this forum and checked the warehouse on my pillows (there are only two) I have the footprint resource. It is not a recolor. I made the mesh. I am wondering if the latest patch did something, but I have no idea what. The other stuff I created is working and so are the recolors. The item doesn't need the original mesh because it is the original mesh. So, I am really stumped. I have never had this issue before.

Hi! It'd be helpful to link what tutorial you followed. I personally have no idea what it says so i can't help you pin point what went wrong. I suggest solely cloning a plant and following THIS TUTORIAL to import a decal binary footprint info to your package. Which only edits the pathing.. nothing else. edit: i'm seeing your package and surely something wasn't done correctly, again, i can't tell without seeing what the tutorial is telling you to do. The footprint is linked in the Object Definition. There it says that the instance for the footprint should be: F355C856937D11CF, while the actual footprint is 9487B1874BCC59F8. Those two things don't match, causing the error. I'm assuming something was imported wrongly. You import binary, don't import the footprint. I'm thinking that's the case. You should see how's done in the tutorial i linked.

link that is the link to the part of the tut I was following. She said to use the gnome. Warehouse tab> Object Definition> Data Section on right look for Footprint next to it is the Edit Items button select it> Highlight the instance info and copy it. Then go to the pillow pack file in S4S (which I already had opened; therefore, two windows of S4S was opened) Warehouse tab> Object Definition> Data section on right look for Footprint click Edit Items> Paste the instance from the gnome into the space. SAVE. I did that the first time around. I re-did that part and am about to go back in game to try it out. Sorry for not giving you the tut link before....I am frazzled and tired. Thank you for answering. I will let you know if it works if not, then I will definitely be trying that tut. UPDATE: I tried the tut. Still the same thing. The pillow is staying red and i'm still getting the msg object is missing the footprint resource. I am wanting to place the pillow on a bed and the other pack is for couches, chairs, and loveseats. OM said that tut was for placing objects on the item...This item is to be put on something, but to not interfer with the sim sitting or lying down on the bed or seating furniture. UGH I even started over on importing the pillow into S4S using the plant and then ignoring the gnome part and using OMs tut. Put the pillow into the game, but it didn't work. This is crazy! UPDATE: I figured out what I did wrong! (I am such an idiota!!) The first step I did correctly. The second step I was putting the instance from the gnome into the object definition> footprint instance. I was suppose to take the instance from the gnome and go into the pillow footprint>Linked Footprint>Instance (I didn't do that. That's why it was messing up!!) ok there isn't a linked footprint anymore. so I put the gnome instance in the first instance of the footprint....because it is the same number as the footprint number in the left side of the warehouse tab. Just put the pillows in game. Didn't work. I am really really stumped. I spent all that time making two pillows for the game and I can't get them to even place on what they are suppose to be placed on. It is ridiculous.

inabadromance I didn't figure it out. It didn't work. But there was someone who had an issue with the routing problem and the sims wouldn't sleep on the bed. But mine is it won't place anywhere. She was told to use a rug for the routing issue, I am thinking about doing the same thing. but I still don't know how to do that. Things have changed even since that answer was put up. Is there anyone who can tell me how to import the pillow so it can be place on the bed and then my other pack be placed on the seating furniture without interrupting the sims animations? This is frustrating the hell out of me.

@augold45 I had a problem with one of my modular sofa pillows intersecting with another and ended up removing the footprint to make it so that they could both be placed on my sofa without using MOO. That might solve your issue, too? And I cloned the pencil cup object for my pillows.
