Hello!~
I've been having very weird errors whenever creating normal maps! I am very familiar with how the process goes with making them but I'm at a loss as why this is happening. :/
I attached a quick screenshot below. Also if anyone is able to help, I've tried to save .dds files in photoshop cs6, photoshop cc, and gimp and they all show the same results.

mmm...I notice your shadow a little ... strange? when you open it in photoshop it appears like this: do you learn tutorial? sims4studio.com/thread/4324/tutorial-detailed-guide-create-clothingthe normal map I do not see anything wrong, but I will continue to observe I would recommend that in order for you to notice the alpha, observe another piece of cc or official game
alpha example: the alpha should not be blank

lol the shadow is a mess, yea. i probably shouldn't have followed a 'quick and dirty' way of creating shadows from tumblr.
but yes, I came across and read that tutorial a few days ago. Any .dds file I save turns very grain-y, so I save as png. The only file I find works best with .dds files is the normal map but mine aren't turning out the way they should. :/

mm..I do not understand well what you say you say that the .dds plugin does not accept you? What is the configuration you use for .dds? Have you seen this tutorial? (I guess so) sims4studio.com/thread/606/editing-shadows

Sorry, haha. I mean everything works well with .png except normal maps. But saving normal maps as .dds files makes the texture become grain-y.
And thank you so much, this one looks much simpler! :D

I don't know if it's against forum rules to double post, but I figured the problem out! It was an issue with my .dds configurations.
Thank you for the help! And please feel free to close this thread. :D
