I feel limited with food for the Sims I don't want to bother learning the Cooking Skill. Do you guys know where I can find more quick meal CC's? If not, how easy do you think it would be to create one?

You can make them yourself, not too hard. Use recipe from microwave meals as a base and use the food tutorial as a guide.

Thanks! It doesn't look too hard and I've actually got an idea for a slew of recipes to play with. (Namely, Progresso style canned soups, sadly inspired by my own eating habits lol). I looked up the tutorial you mentioned and it looks pretty simple to follow. You were very good at breaking things down and keeping them simple in it. I'm going to give it a try tonight when I get home from work. I might be ahead of myself, but is there a way to attach buffs to food as well? For example, if I were to create a "Healthy Lifestyle" buff that affects energy level as well as the hunger bar, would it be possible to make that appear after eating something like oatmeal or yogurt? Also, do you suggest using a windows or mac computer for this process? I noticed Sims 4 Studio has different options for both systems but I have a virtual machine I use for coding due to Windows being more open when it comes to open source programs.

You can add buffs to food. I added to teas. Basically I dug into a potion tuning abd pulled relevant parts. I don't know about the Mac options, but for asking any type of question, most users here use windows.

Leniad, I've worked on my package some but I can't seem to find how microwaveable meals are related to food recipes. I've tried to adapt your Custom Food Creation tutorial to the package but I'm not really sure how to do it? If you have time to take a look at the package and point me at which part of the files need editing to appear properly in game, I'd appreciate it. If not, I totally understand. Either way, here's the package dropbox link. The package started off as a clone from the single serve oatmeal. I've been able to update the texture files within S4S but can't get the pie menu for Butternut to appear in the game. I checked to make sure I didn't accidentally override Oatmeal and can confirm that it hasn't been overridden. The mod just doesn't appear to be in game at all.

They are related, but from different bases. You would extract the microwaveable food recipe from an EA object as a base instead of a on the counter cook/stove recipe. I will look at it and give more complete answers.

The relevant recipe is recipe_Snack_MicrowaveDinner. Changing line 84 to the decimal x32 value of your object's instance number should do it. Change lines 107,108 for your text, and put the value from line 84 into line 120 if you want it available in restaurant. I will have a chance to make one up this weekend, to make sure I am telling you everything. You will need to add a snippet for the microwave to make it show up.

Thanks Leniad. I have to go to work atm but I will work on this later tonight and see what your suggestions do for the project. If it's successful, do you want me to post the steps to the original tutorial in a reply/comment for you? Or is that something you'd rather keep separate?

They are similar, but not the same - so they should be separate. Once I get one working, I will send to you. Feel free to write a tutorial.
