I just made my first separated bed frame. But when I tested it out in my game, my sim couldn't get in the mattress I put on it. What could I have done wrong?

Hi there,
Could you share the package & blend files so someone can take a look at it and determine what might be the issue. Also, the best way to make your own bed, is cloning a double bed, and only remove the frame, and keep the mattress on it from EA, and build your bed frame under it.
This is because the mattress is animated, and if you replace the mattress you also remove the animation, which kinda sounds like what happened here. But again can't be sure until i or someone else have seen your package & blend files.

Is that the case even if I want to use the bed frame with other mattresses? Here is the link to my package and blender file. link

Here is the link to my package and blender file. link That depends, if its a custom mattress and it has been animated it should not be a problem, but if it has been created by someone who doesn't know how to animate it, then you probably end up having the same result as you got now. You could also ask around here if someone can help you out with animating your mattress you've made. I do think there are animators here on the forums, but i am not sure about it

Hello teagondyer, For the bed frame, use a decorative object for the clone. Change the decorative slot to 0 and change the footprint (like a rug).
