Change cc season tags without removing them from sims

Ok, I have a lot of cc that's in the wrong season (hot/cold) category. I want to change them manually in sims 4 studio, but I have a question.
Will the cc be removed from my sims if they are already wearing them? Or can I change them without affecting my sims?
