Hi! I have seen on some sims objects that they have multiple texure files. I would loveeeee to have multiple images/textures for an object. Would make life so much easier for combining variations/swatches ona single object. As long as the objects in blender have the same UV map, can I import multiple texture files to S4S??
An example of this is Dr. Budgets Surger-o-matic 1500 in the Cats & Dogs expansion pack. It has two texture files.

Do you mean adding different swatches or create recolor packages? I don't know if I understood the problem.

Usually, Glass objects have two textures. One for glass, one for the solid mesh. You'd have to go into the warehouse and change the glass shaders to phong, and fix the bump/specular for the glass part. I've lost track of the items by now, not sure if there's any that have two textures.

This object (see above) has two texture files, and it doesn't have glass. I am trying to recreate something like this. I can t figure out what to change in the warehouse.

If you need an object with two textures you need to find a clone that has 2 textures. Some base game paintings have this, I don't remember which ones from my head but you could try searching for those. I know THIS painting by Leniad has 3 texture independant places but I'm not sure how he accomplish it. You can also clone that as your base and then change other parameters to convert it in whatever object you need.

The 3 zone texture is the standard EA texture for the canvas

Thank you for your responses. I am looking specifically for a bed frame so I don't think cloning a picture will work. BUT it will help me find more objects to research to find out to set it up in the warehouse. If I find a solution I will let everyone know.

BUT it will help me find more objects to research to find out to set it up in the warehouse. If I find a solution I will let everyone know. There are beds that already have this behaviour. Look at THIS tutorial. Clone the bed used in the tutorial and you should have 2 texture spaces. It is the most expensive that comes with the base game. Also, what I meant earlier is that you can always clone something that has the behaviour you need and acondicionate the .package to meet your requirements. For example, If I were to clone Leniad's painting and want to make a bed out of it. I would need to import the rig, slot and change the tuning name and id from a bed and change it into the painting. You can export/import resources in Studio quite easily. Most of the time this is not necessary since you already have a clone that reseambles what you need.
