I know it's possible to have Sims broadcast moods (happy, sad, flirty, etc) to those around them, but is it possible for an object to have a similar effect? I have a painter Sim, and she's a sort of tragic sort, and I would like it if her paintings, when hung on a wall, make other Sims sad (or very sad) if they view them, or are in the same room as them. Can this be done, and if so, could anyone offer some pointers on how to go about it? Thanks!

This is literally how paintings already work with base game built in functionality lmfao
Just make her sad and have her make a sad painting

Okay, I feel genuinely dumb now. Hee. HOWEVER.
Oddly enough, I don't know that she's ever painted a sad painting before. She actually doesn't spend an enormous amount of time being sad, which strikes me as maybe a bit sociopathic, but that's fine. Anyway, though, perhaps I wasn't specific enough.
I would like to have a gallery of her work (I'd probably make the images myself), but available as buyable objects in Build/Buy mode. I would like the buyable objects to radiate sadness, so that anyone who walks into the gallery gets hit with like sixteen different paintings all radiating sadness at them. I don't really understand much more than the basics of modding objects...I know that many decorations have an "Environment" stat that makes Sims happy (the "well-furnished surroundings" buff or whatever), so I was wondering if one could change that buff to generate sadness, and how one might go about doing that.
Again, thanks in advance for any suggestions or pointers!
