hey can anyone please help me out? I've actually been trying to make a hat for the sims 4, but i can't find any beginner tutorials for hats. I've tried videos, i've tried sims4studios, they just make me wanna pull my hair out. can someone please help me with a step by step tutorial? i can't even find out how to weight paint ;o. i even tried importing to s4s yet it never appears ;o

Hi. Hats are made the same way any other CAS item would be. - start a new package by cloning a base game hat. There are 2 types of hats. Some are placed higher on the head, others lower. Make sure to start from the one that is placed the way you want your new mesh to be. Export and open the blend. - go on youtube and google "blender hat modeling". There are all types of hats there. - once done, follow this tutorial , but use your original hat mesh as a reference. These hats interact with hairstyles, so make sure to place your hat on the head just where the original mesh is. Otherwise, there will be gaps or the hair will poke out of the hat.

you need to add Data transfer modifier to Cylinder, not reference mesh

What did you do prior to this? Did you rename your map to uv_0 and create a uv_1 map before transferring maps? There should be 2 uv map

mauvemorn so i had to redo it again, but now it's imported, it does this, even if i have the uv to the right spot... i am so sorry i'm really new to blender...

mauvemorn welp still doesn't work, the preview picture shows the guy through the helmet and crashes my game... it says it's rigged but it's not.... what to do??? it just does this in game ;(
