I am working on redoing some base game counters. I am not only recoloring, but changing the cabinet mesh a bit but I am leaving the coutertop mesh unchanged. I noticed when looking at the exported countertops from S4S that some of the UV maps don't even sit on the diffuse image at all, or some of them have parts of them that go off the diffuse map. Why is this? I am worried about changing their location, because I am working with a marble texture and so far where the UV maps are located seem to make everything line up correctly. However, not understanding how the UV maps that aren't sitting on the diffuse map are actually getting textured. Any ideas/thoughts?
Also, I don't mind keeping UV mapping off the diffuse map, But not sure how to bake it in blender. Help! LOL
