I've been looking all over for tutorials or guides to follow when importing other games' fashion/hair into Sims 4. I can get the meshes in .fbx, and textures in .dds; also got 3ds Max. I can't figure out how to combine mesh and texture. Is there a step-by-step tutorial on converting stuff from other games into Sims? Youtube videos use other programs and/or skip over details like "remove unwanted bits" (how?? and how do i know what's unwanted??).
I'm an absolute newbie to 3d programs so even links to similar process tutorials would help.

Thank you! Though I have to figure out how to combine the mesh and the texture before I go forward ^^ 3ds Max articles aren't helping me understand the process :/

Hi jennysyc. IMHO, what you are trying to do coming from a new-to-3d perspective is akin to getting a flat tire on your bike, but then watching a video on how to change an engine for a Ferrari. Try concentrating on Blender 101 videos and try to ignore any 3D Studio Max ones. Changing format from .fbx is always a tricky thing, no matter the program. Just wanted to get you started properly before you get too frustrated and think to give up... Cheers.

Thanks for the advice!

I found this video very helpful when I was starting out I followed the video until around 21:10, where it prepared to fix the clipping. My sleeves had been fitted to the arms but when I clicked Apply > Rotation and Scale, the sleeves went all over the place. What did I miss?
