I am having this problem, too. It's like the texture for the hair line got switched with the texture for a portion of the actual hair? Because my hairline is messed up, too. No issue in Blender, but when I go to Sims4Studio, it shows this: i.imgur.com/o2p28aV.pngHere's the texture I'm using. As you can see, I've mapped it as accurately as I can. I frankensteined it from three other EA textures that correspond to the three meshes I used to create the hair. It's very small because there was a sizing issue earlier in the project, where it was first too big to even upload, and then I had to trim it back more because some of it was registering as negative space? Or something? I don't know. I'm very new to all of this and am trying my best to learn. Here's a pic of the setup I've got in blender, in case the issue is there. Finally, in case none of these images upload, here's a link to my imgur: bloodyreaver13.imgur.com/allThank you for your help!

Hi there xemmyqIt is probably due to some inverted normals on your mesh. You will need to share the package for us to be able to help you really on this.

xemmyq the issue at the back it's solved by just merging all the cuts together since you didn't split the mesh properly, just merge them all together for now and duplicate it 2 times, you can make it compatible with hat chops in the end, the issue in the front is more complex, it's black because that part of the texture is also black underneath, even though the texture is transparent you have to understand that that texture is gonna be overlayed with the sims body texture when it's in the game in the example beneath you can see what I mean, that part of the UV is in the black area, when it should be around the ear area Writing how to fix it would take forever so I recorded myself fixing it from the start, you can watch it and just follow along

Thank you so much for the video! I wasn't expecting anyone to go so far as doing that to help me. I really appreciate it.
I do have a few questions, though. For one, for some reason, I do not have the data transfer modifier, despite having blender 2.80. Am I doing something wrong? I've followed your instructions to the letter, and google is not helpful. I did *start* this project in a previous version, perhaps that's the problem? My second question is for later in the video, where you appended another hairstyle into the project. I'm confused as to the reason why, as I couldn't figure the purpose of it from watching.
Again, thank you for going above and beyond in answering my questions. It means a lot and I'm excited to finally have this hairstyle finished so my Sim can look like himself. c:

"I did *start* this project in a previous version, perhaps that's the problem?" if that were the case i should't have it either since i used your .blend file i appended another hair to transfer weights, just in case

Nevermind, I just uninstalled and reinstalled blender and I have the data transfer modifier now! Still curious about the appended hair, but I will follow dutifully along.
Edit: Did not see your reply until just now. I'll definitely follow that step, just in case as well. Thank you so much again!

I'm sorry to keep bothering you, but I have another issue regarding selecting the hairline on both the UV Map and the model. I'm not really following how you managed it in the video. There's something labeled "ACCENT_GRAVE" in the key strokes but I've no idea what that is or what it means.
Truly sorry again for troubling you with this. I'm trying my best to learn. Thank you for being so helpful!

Can you give me the timecode? I watched the entire video but I don't see at any time "accent_grave" keystroke

Ah, i must have pressed it by accident, i am selecting using "L" to select, make sure your cursor is pointing in that area, i did have to undo a few times because i made a mistake of removing doubles before

It only lets me select the whole hair (minus the ponytail and bow) when I press L. I know I must be missing something, but I've gone through the video step by step several times now and I can't seem to figure it out. :(

Yes like I said in my previous post I made a mistake a few steps back by removing doubles, I had to press shift + z a few times to go back before i did that, that's why it selects the whole hair
