[Modding Collaberation] External API event triggers.

Hey there! As of right now I have pretty much no modding experience, just an idea I want to make a reality.

As the title suggests, I want to be able to have an external source (for example Discord) trigger different ingame events.

Example: Somebody in the Discord server types in chat 'storm'. This would trigger an ingame event and change the ingame weather to storm.

Of course there would be a ton of different triggers and a heap of events that can happen, even randomly pick one.

Unfortunately I don't have any modding experience myself, so I don't have any clue on where to start.

If somebody would be willing to either point me in the right direction or even work on this with me, that would be awesome!
