After installing some updates and some lighting mods, some particular hairs turned out like this (Before) (After, same swatch) I already tested this with no other mods, and going back to my previous version, reinstalling the game, etc... with no luck so now i'm wondering if there's any way to edit the mesh itself, maybe it's got something to do with shaders? the mesh appears completely fine in Sims 4 Studio, just not in game

Try batch fix "Fix Cats and dogs glass hair". It is in Content management -> CAS -> "Fix Cats and dogs glass hair".

It worked!! thank you! I really didn't want to get rid of this hair and it seemed like i would have to. Weirdly, cats and dogs didn't gave me any issue, until I installed realm of magic

The issue is not in expansion, the issue is in the patch that cam win this expansion. This hair didn’t have a proper normal map, all hairs that didn’t have normal map looked like this after thta patch came out. Either it is a really old hair and you just downloaded it, or you didn’t use it for a while, therefore didn’t see that it is broken.
