The first one has the sims too close together, and the second one has them rotated wrong. I've made multiple poses before these that involve multiple sims, and they've all turned out fine. I did the same things with these poses, so I can't figure out why they won't work. Any ideas?

Your b_root bone is directly under your sim, it should always be at the centre, where the axis meet, the bone isn't selectable in pose mode so the only way you could have moved it is by moving the sim in object mode, you do all the posing in pose mode, even when you need to move your entire sim, just select every bone with "a" and move it that way How it should be
