Hello all,
I recently download S4S because I wanted to make recolor. I made my first stand alone recolor with hairs and it worked perfectly. I didn't have any problem in game with it.
I made an other recolor with a pants this time, it's the city living pants. I made a stand alone recolor like the other recolor except this time it changed the item in game and deleted the city living tag. Now I have this pants but it's considered base game. So now this pants is base game. I don't really understand the issue since I did exactly like last time. I have to add that even if the recolor I made is not in my mod folder I still have this bug.
I tried to redownload the game, S4S, delete the thumbail cache, add a letter to the client file, it's still the same. I don't understand this bug and I don't want to share my recolor until I now what's the problem, I don't want to mess up someone else game.
I came to you because I'm desperate at this point.
I want to thank you in advance for your help

There is no way to delete pack requirement with Studio and it will never be added to Studio since deleting pack requirement is a piracy. And questions about this are not allowed on S4S forum.

Feyona They aren't asking to delete the pack requirement, they are saying S4S or their game glitched and deleted the requirement itself. They want to know how to fix it on their recolor so they can share it. I don't think anyone can help with it though because it's happening without the recolor file too, if I'm understanding the last sentence in the first paragraph right. siilk Is it possible that maybe EA made those City Living pants available for free in a patch right before you tested it? Either way, maybe try starting from scratch and see if that fixes it? Or see if a friend has the issue too?

Feyona I'm really sorry if I made myself misunderstood, English isn't my first language maybe that's why we misunderstood each other. That's not what I asked, I made a recolor and after that the EA tag of the pants got deleted. The pants is now base game, which it's not what I wanted in the first place. At first I thought it was deleted since I couldn't find it... mizore No I don't think so. It wasn't after an update, and to be honest I doubt EA made such thing. It's weird because S4S found it in City Living but in game I have to search in the base game tag. I made an other one from scratch and now the cc can be found in the city living tag, even if I didn't make this requirement, but the pants still is in base game. It's really weird to be honest.

Hello, I'm sorry about the double post.
Someone tested the recolor I made and for them too it changed the EA CL tag. I don't know what can cause that. If someone know what can I do to prevent that from happening I'm all ears.

Hi siilk, can you tell me which CL pants you are recoloring so I can try to test it?Edit: I'm guessing it was the skinny jeans? I tested those and there is something very strange about the way the tags are done. In my game the original pants don't show a CL pack icon even though S4S categorizes them as CL, and they only show under the Base Game tag. If I make a recolor and check to show the pack icon in S4S, then they are correctly categorized in game. I also don't understand how the original pants show under the "skintight" category and the recolor only shows under "pants".

It's this pants. So it's how they "coded" the pants that makes an issue ? I had the same issue, S4S show it under CL tags but in games it's base game like you said. it's really weird. I tried to redo it multiple times and it's the same things, S4S find it under his original tag, CL, but in game it's different. I tried with the game pack icon for the recolor too but the original pants always stays base game for me. Honestly it's really weird.

I know why the game is doing this. This is one of the items that was altered by the rebrand patch back in July last year. As part of the rebrand they added recolours to DLC content and made them available to base game players. So these pants will show up to base game players but they won't have access to all of the swatch options that other players have if they own City Living. Instead of having the original DLC content retain the pack icons, they removed them from all swatches so everything appears base game but depending on which swatch you use as a base, it might not actually be base game compatible. I hope that made sense.

menaceman44 thank you for your respond. Oh I see. But why did the pack tag was affected after me and the people who tested for me was removed ? It's because it came in conflict with the cc ?

But they don't have the City Living icon in CAS anyway. Like I said, the icon was removed in the Rebrand patch. I just checked in my own game. There is no CL icon and they show up under the Base Game filter. If you start your package by cloning one of the new base game swatches then your item will be base game. If you clone from one of the original CL swatches then players will need CL for it to show.

Oh I see, what I didn’t understand is that all the switches are consider base game. I was afraid to share the cc because I didn’t want to mess with anyone game.

If you want to see how your package will behave in a game that does NOT have City Living installed then you can temporarily disable the pack from loading and test in your own game. Just follow the instructions here> jamesturner.yt/disablepacksIt's safe. I've done it myself to test things before. When you are done just remember to go and clear the command out again afterwards to get your packs back.
