Hi, so i've been using s4studio for years and since updating to the latest patch my s4studio doesnt seem to find my folder. Right clicking on my sims 4 application while its playing still directly goes to the directory User/Applications/TheSims4 and that is what the S4studio is reading but now saying is incorrect.
I read that the new update changed game files but I dont see any apparent change in my files.
If I ignore this in S4Studio none of the mods I place in the s4studio folder load anymore.

Hey all I think my problem is somewhat relevant to the one described here: So I just downloaded Sims 4 Studio today, and at first I was struggling with finding the correct game path but after reading several threads in this forum with that exact issue I finally figured it out: (Applications/Sims 4/Content/Resources); it seemed it was important that the default.ini file be located in Resources. However, even though S4S is recognizing that as a correct path now, nothing is showing up when I hit CAS- no thumbnails or clothing options at all. I'm thinking this has to do with the latest patch but as this is my first experience with S4S I can't be sure!

I've been experiencing that too. Ive tried placing my Sims4.App all over the place but nothing seems to work! However, I do have a video that might help. Ill post the link here. Also hannahbanana2222 If you have a macbook like me, I use Command + Shift + 3 ( or 4 ) to take a screenshot!!

Also hannahbanana2222 If you have a macbook like me, I use Command + Shift + 3 ( or 4 ) to take a screenshot!! My Sims 4 is in the application folder and when I do the method she shows me in the video it just goes right to the Applications folder. Everything in my game is like entirely in order, it's where it's supposed to be. That's why I'm having such a big issue, because everything I do is exactly right and it's all in place but it still can't seem to find it. I tried putting a duplicate copy of The Sims 4 into the folder following her path (when I go Mac HD -> users -> hannah, it goes right to options like applications, desktop, documents, etc., it doesn't show "chrome apps" because I don't use chrome and it doesn't show "The Sims 4" there either). I've tried moving it to different folders, tried doing the right click-> options -> show in finder thing but that hasn't been successful either. I've followed literally every tutorial and tip imaginable. My S4S still opens files and functions but there is no "mannequin" so to speak with clothes/tattoos/whatever on it, just floating undergarments and whatever CC I have opened. Hope this info is helpful😬😬 Read more: sims4studio.com/thread/20214/mac-update-unable-find-sims?page=1#ixzz6IzMHzgxT

I've also tried totally uninstalling and reinstalling S4S. I downloaded this update from 1.3.0.7 tonight and it replaced that version and that's when this problem started, all was normal prior to this (except bugs/issues that were addressed in updates). Whenever I try to put a different pathway into the first box it has a pop-up that says "An error has occurred. Please report this. Thanks " and doesn't accept whatever new pathway I try to put in. So I'm assuming it's probably a bug of some kind? I'm happy to supply more info where needed!

Same issue over here! It was working fine right before I updated the Sims 4 with today's patch. After I updated the game I came back and it said it couldn't find the Sims 4, when I tried to connect it I got the error message. 😞

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Its really annoying but I dont think its anything we are doing wrong. They seemed to have separated game packs from the application which was originally all merged together. I dont know if thats part of the problem but I fear us mac users may have to wait for some kind of s4studio update.

I'm been having the same problem since I update my sims. I been spending hours trying to fix the problem but I guess this a new issue, so it will be hard to fix. But does anybody know who we can report this issue too?

But does anybody know who we can report this issue too? This is the place to do that. We just write about it and a mod will see it and will respond or will take a report or whatever. That's what this part of the forum is for, you did what you should be doing
