hello! New to the forum and working on sims 4 but not new to texture work or modding games in general. but for a couple days now I've been teaching my self this studio system through following the forum given tutorials after finally having time to play sims 4 …. and i'm starting simple with re-texturing clothing before I dust off my student Maya to make some mesh of my own, but I'm getting these jagged black marks appear once I get something in game after saving the package file (image at bottom)
I looked in helpful threads thread but without knowing what this is called/some of the example images in the thread aren't loading for me...I'm not sure what help I need to look for ^^"
also As I am uk based too and it just turned 6am I thought asking for help before I go to bed will give me a fresh start once I wake up-
But tbh All I've done so far is work on re-texturing a tank top from the Seasons expansion as a personal project, it had a pocket and was yellow and blue, but I got rid of that (Normals was changed in photoshop, main top texture was painted in Sai) ....but is this all caused because I've 'cut' too much off the original top as a texture? or is it something else I've done wrong?? As it Looks fine in S4S's window but does this in the game when its loaded in CAS.
(Attached below image of my game screen, my S4S screen and my texture in the program I use to paint with. Hopefully it loads!)
But yes any help or a point in the right direction on the forum would be greatly appreciated thank you <3

It's related to the shadow map. Remove the transparency from your shadow map and make the background fully white.

And make sure to save your shadow map in dds, i think something have changed recently that leads to this issue, even if you export maxis shadow map as png and re-import it back right away without changing anything, you will get these black lines
