Help on making a buff received from interactions

I want to make a series of buffs that result from interactions with certain sims, specifically occult sims.

I read the three tutorials from Zerbu about creating custom buffs, and I already made it, but the tutorials don't cover how to find in-game interactions and certain statistics (whether sim is occult, and which type of occult), and how to have the buff result from a combination of those specific happenstances.

Specifically, I want to make buffs that result from Woohoo/Messing Around with occult sims, with each buff being different depending on occult of each participant.

My general understanding is that I can probably find other Woohoo buffs (for example, the buffs from Shower Woohoo) and edit them to have my custom buffs relate to the Woohoo interactions.

However, I don't know how to have the buffs check the each of the sim's occult status and apply different buffs to each accordingly.
(For example: Mermaid and Vampire Woohoo, Vampire gets "Woohoo with Mermaid" buff, Mermaid gets "Woohoo with Vampire" buff).
