Hi! I'm new here but have been playing sims for years. I've been looking for beds for pets and I found one that I love. It's cc and it works fine(!). The thing is that it's only for small pets and I wanted to change it so that it's functional for large pets (dogs) too. I found a tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIRpU2VekRk) to make an object tuning mod. I think I did everything like in the video but every time I save my cc, it doesn't work in a game. It is in a catalog as supposed, but once I place it, it disappears and I get a last exception message. I've tried two whole days to make this work :'D And I've tried all those batch fixing things and still doesn't work. I also tried to do the same thing for the Sims' original round pet bed (to make it suitable for large pets) and same thing happens. Everything seems to be ok until I place the object and it disappears and I get that last exception message. So the problem can't be that the object is CC... Someone please help me! Thanks!!

You could try cloning a large pet bed and importing the mesh / textures of the smaller pet bed?

I've been trying that and I almost get it work. Now the bed doesn't disappear but if I'm looking close it looks like the cc bed (the way I want it to look) but when I go a little further it looks like the original big bed. What am I doing wrong?

The reason the original method wouldn't work is because the small pet bed and the large pet bed have different slots in them for where the pets can sit. The tuning looks for these slots and if there are any missing then it will fail to place the object when you let go of it from the catalogue. So in this case just changing the tuning isn't enough and you would need to update the slots to match as well.
