Hello! I've run into a strange problem with two meshes I'm working on and I can't figure out what's happening. The clothes look good both on S4S and CAS but once I go into Live Mode the sim that's wearing them turns black! What's even more weird is that the blackness seems to disappear when you zoom in. This only happens with these items, other custom content works just fine. I've checked the mesh, the normal map, the specular map, etc., but I don't see anything unusual? Can someone help me? Files can be found here!

Wow! I have rarely seen that!
I took a look at your package files and I have exported your blazer and pants. I have imported them in Milkshape and apparently the problem is that the face vertex order was reversed! It is pretty easy to fix it, but really annoying to put it back into your game as a package because you have to convert it back
To fix that issue you need to export your clothes as obj files, import them in Milkshape and hit ctrl + m, now you should see that your clothes are grey (also don't import them together, import them one at a time) and export it as whataver you like to work with!
However to put it back into the sims 4, that can get tricky so if you need help with that, I can either explain it to you in details, or do it for you (I wouldn't mind it)

Hi, from my testing I found this is a texture issue due to the shadow maps. When I removed them it shows up fine in my game - I think you exported the shadow maps without mipmaps, so make sure you have that option selected when exporting as .dds (and if you're exporting as .png, then export with .dds instead). Also sidenote, the blazer's texture overlaps with the shoe UV space, so you may want to fix that: Hope this helps

Of course it was the mipmaps, ugh! I always forget to select that option haha. I've made a new shadow map and now it works great. Thank you! I'm glad it was such an easy fix. As for the overlapping... may I ask if those shoes are custom content? I have tried the outfit with pretty much all of EA shoes and I didn't have that problem. The original EA blazer had the same texture placement. I'll give it a look tho! Thank you nouchcka and jwofles for taking the time to help me! ❤️

I didn't know that EA stuff overlapped on that as well lol, but a lot of CC shoes use that space at the bottom right. Maybe the shoe creators are at fault but I just generally avoid that bottom right area to maximise compatibility :P
