Hi there and sorry to bother! I know this is pretty old but I did my very first hair cc today and almost everything works just fine .. but I got this exact problem. I already checked the material tab and I think there are only one assigend to every mesh. My english is not the best and I unfortunately do not get what the answer to the problem in post nb. 4 is... I guess I did something wrong with the materials in blender but I cannot figure out what exactly. I hope you can help. Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, could you share the .blend so we can have a closer look? It's hard to tell without the file, and it also depends on if you're using blender render or cycles etc.

So I would be glad if you could take a look linkThanks so much in advance! And have a nice weekend! I opened up the .blend and it shows the texture fine for me. Is it not showing for you? If it's still not working try going into edit mode, selecting everything (press 'A'), and then opening your image on the UV editor (while it's all selected).

Ah thank you so much for checking it out! That is exactly why I am so confused. But after putting together the package file it shows up like this ingame link link. I stumbled about a thread here that covered a similar problem but I couldn't see the linked pictures because they wheren't there anymore. But it said that the problem were more materials in blender than needed and at first I had to many. I put together everything from scratch after that keeping in mind only to have the needed textures. And it works fine in blender. The package also works fine ingame except for the texture issue I can't solve... Here you go if you want to have a look into the package file.

Oh wow .. I feel so dumb right now and pretty ashamed. I stopped playing around with my blend file and started again at the package an its textures. I redid everything here too incl. the diffuse files and now it works... I guess I forgot to check "mipmaps" when exporting the textures from gimp. I searched for a solution for so long and stumbled about other threads I thought they might discuss my problem. But I already knew the solution deep down from the "Common Problems Thread" I am so sorry I bothered you jwofles and I am really thankful for your help and time! I would like to set this thread to solved if it's possible? Stay well and healthy!
