Hello! I made an object with custom interactions and I'm trying to add icons to that interaction just like how interactions related to charisma or handiness has icons on the left side (example from the photo below). My custom interaction only has the display name even though I added the xml line for the icon that I want to display beside it (sorry for the wrong terms used). Hopefully someone can help me The custom interaction tuning name is PBJelly:bot_StartCrafting_Food_Baking and the xml line I added starts at line 10-14 Here is the package file: www.simfileshare.net/download/1787250/

Hi PBJelly, Two things about your tuning and the icon that I see: 1) the 'File Type' entry for the icon in your tuning is 00B2D882, like a regular texture file within a .package... It should be 2f7d0004. 2) While there are some kinds of file entries within a .package that use the 'Group Number' of 00000000 (generally indicating an entry from an official game entry, but not exclusively as I mentioned), any add image such as your icon should have a number of 80000000, indicating a 'local' entry in the .package that is definitely not within an official game file. Scanning through all of the tunings available, it appears that the File Type of 00B2D882 * is* used within the SimData files, however I have not encountered it in any of the other tunings, which all use the 2f7d0004 Type. Having scanned through all of the Interaction tunings, I believe that if you were to have had the correct File Type entered, what you should have seen is your choice of cupcake icon on ALL of the 'generic' interactions, as the 'directory' line of code that you wrote for the interaction is shared across most of the standard interactions. I did a couple of complete scans through the tuning trying to find the icon that you chose, but was unable to find that exact one (I think). Hi minimonster! thanks for the help! I found a code (is that the term?) that I just added to my interaction tuning and the icons I wanted showed up on the interaction bubble. <V t="enabled" n="pie_menu_icon"> <V n="enabled" t="resource_key"> <U n="resource_key"> <T n="key">00B2D882:00000000:FDAD947971DDA810</T> </U> </V> </V>
The FDAD... refers to the instance of the icon so I just find any icon I want and replace it. Also, I used that File Type entry since I looked at other modder's interaction and found out that they use DST images thus the OOB2D882. I also have a big folder of icons I have extracted from the game files and it uses that File Type entry for all icons so I assumed that's just the normal thing to do, same as the Group Number of 00000000. Lastly, I have a guess of the reason why the cupcake icon did not show up because it was a code for the Pie Menu like the Friendly, Mean, Funny, Magic interaction category (in which I like to refer to them as parent pie menu) and Pie Menu icons appear different than the normal interaction bubble. Hopefully, this message made sense Cheers. Also here are some of the interactions I was able to create:
