Hello all, I know that this is a common problem, but I swear that I have tried what I have found on the web to do and I cannot fix this problem.
So, I made a Sims 4 couple pose in Blender and saved a file with both rigs. Then, when I go to copy and save the rigs as individual files, one of the rigs always moves dramatically out of position. *Why* is she doing this and how on earth do I get her to stay put? (I have LocRot-ted the heck out of her! In the file with both rigs, she is right where she is supposed to be). I have also tried to be mindful of only moving the rigs in Pose Mode and made sure to center the rig at a 0,0,0 location. (I'll admit that I'm beginning and only slightly have any idea what I am talking about.)
Thanks sooo much in advance. ImpPrincess

If you want the poses to be in relation to each other when you put the teleporter in the same spot and teleport the sims over before posing them, they may need to be offset from each other to fit properly together - as in them being spaced properly in Blender and not centering them when separating.
When I separate poses, I first make sure to LocRot both poses and save as "COUPLE" or some such, so I have a file I can edit/fix. Then select one of the joints on one pose, click "A" a couple times until the whole rig is selected, then "i" and "LocRot", then "Ctrl+C", then open a file with the correct age/gender (I've extracted all of the bases so I have them at hand), Ctrl+V, A to select rig, I, the LocRot, and save the file with a new name. Then I do the same for the second pose. I don't do any changes to the poses.
If the pose isn't positioned where you want them to be positioned, it's probably because you didn't put it there. I've only had a few poses weird out, one because it didn't import properly to the pose file (causing a "stretched" sim), and a few because they had more than one key saved which caused an annoying "jump bug".

Thanks for your help. I realized that part of my problem (I think) is that I was moving one rig around while she was "root bound." Once I unselected root bind and chose another joint, things went much more smoothly. That said, the positioning of the transporters in order to make the pose appear just right in game was still pretty fiddly. Is that normal for an interactive pose? Is there a way to guarantee perfect positioning with two transporters in the exact same start position?
One other thing as well. In certain clothing while in game, the Sims in my pose overlap/merge weirdly (clipping, I think it's called?). Is there a way to fix that? Thanks in advance!

I think the only way to reduce clipping with clothes is to add the clothes to the file while you're making the poses, so you can work around themand adjust hands and such to fit around them. May not work for all kinds of bodyshapes, but it could help a bit for average bodyshapes with dresses and the like. It's also how you'd make poses with accessories. (I'm still kinda new to this myself, so haven't tried adding in clothes yet, but accessories and objects are definitely possible to add in).
Most of the time I haven't had problems with positioning transporters. I just kinda make sure I've put the sims where I want them in the pose, so when I put down the transporter I don't have to use alt-place unless in rare cases, and then I make sure to take a reference picture in Blender so I have an approximate position of where to put the item and transporter ingame.
TS4 posing is fiddly enough as it is without having to fine-tune the transporters all the time (if the sims could only stay put, but if you so much as move one single item around them, everything jumps out of place - it's really annoying).

I think this is my last question. Could you explain what you mean when you say that you "make sure [you've] put the sims where [you] want them in the pose"? I ask because with my couples pose, they were both where they were supposed to be in the file with both rigs. It was only when I separated them that the female rig got all weird. I don't know how I caused that... or if I caused that... or how to prevent it...
Thanks!

I never do anything else than copy the pose from the "both" file, paste it into the empty rig, then LocRot it and save as a new file. If you start manipulating the pose, that could be what's causing problems.
I have noticed some occasional pose placement issues if the "b__ROOT_bind__" is rotated. I'm not sure, but I think it may have caused a few weird posing issues for me too, because some poses will work fine but others are suddenly placed somewhere completely different, but I'm guessing I haven't quite figured out how that works yet. I know I had some similar issues when I started out with TS2 poses... For some reason, you have to at least read five guides to get all the details because nobody thinks to put everything in one handy, preferably written guide (how to make poses, face animations, couple animations, posing with accessories, and a couple more - and at least one of those gave me some really confusing info that wasn't necessary and ended up causing several poses to be jumpy before I followed different advice from another tutorial which worked much better).

Yep. At least five guides. I totally relate. I don't know what I did wrong with that pose, but I will just keep plodding on and hopefully, it will not happen again with the new pose. I definitely didn't mess around with the copied pose, but I'm sure I messed it up some other way. It did become workable ultimately, so I was happy. Thanks again for all of your help! ImpPrincess

Piggybacking off this post, I have issues with it displaying in the improper location and rotation in game when it's fine in Blender. They have the pose they're supposed to have, it's just where they're standing and their body rotation that is the issue. I want them to use the same teleport location for this pose.
