Hello!
I'm super new to creating CC, so I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I'm having a heck of a time.
I created a glass top coffee table from a base game coffee table with two mesh objects and two corresponding textures (a frame and a glass top), and it came out okay except that the glass top was fully transparent. No big deal, though I'd like to fix it.
I decided to create a matching end table, and after a series of issues I couldn't diagnose (trying to resize the coffee table and adjust settings in S4S to make it an end table, which is a whole other can of worms I won't open up here), I started fresh with a base end table that included a glass top (I manually made them look similar in blender, which is not the most time-efficient method but did get me where I wanted to go). This one had only one texture, though it did open in blender with two mesh objects. I messed with it until I found a way to make it work.
By comparing these two items and using sheer trial and error, I tried to adjust the shaders to give the glass tops the correct level of opacity. I now have two different objects with two (or more) issues.
Issue #1: End table is weirdly face transparent, making "metal" frames appear to go behind one another. What the heck setting did I accidentally set to do this? Is it due to original base item having only one texture (and me not knowing how to handle it)? Should I reconstruct it from a better base item/figure out how to shrink down my coffee table into an end table?
Issue #2: After adjusting shader settings, glass top on the coffee table now has some opacity/color displayed. However, everything viewed through the glass top is low-res. Part of my whole idea is to have objects displayed beneath, so this is a bummer. How can I make it semi-opaque without everything looking low res beneath the glass?
I've been pouring over posts here and YouTube videos to help me, but so far haven't found exactly what to search for either of these issues.
I know it's a potentially huge issue for both items, but if anyone could offer me even a starting point, I'd be much obliged.
I've attached the package files as well as an explanatory graphic.
Thank you for any help you might have!
