Hello! My PS CS6 will only do specific file formats. A 1024x1024 should be able to be saved as a .dds? Is it my computer? Something with the program? PS. Reference to this issue right here: sims4studio.com/thread/21890/shiny-ccThanks to anyone who helps!

Hey there Lyn xx It should be able to but I think cs6 needed a plugin for that to work. You can also use online converters for the job! So if you save out your image as a jpeg /png: Then plop it into a png to dds converter or jpeg converter you should be able to use that:

What program only allows .Tiff or PSB Formats?
(It's very possible I may of missed something here!)
Just to recheck I've read the above right, Are you just trying to save an image in a .dds format?

You may need a plugin for Photoshop to accept DDS as a format. Possibly the Legacy DDS utilities from here: developer.nvidia.com/legacy-texture-tools (not the newer version for Photoshop CC on a different page).
(It's been a while since I had DDS files working in Photoshop (been cheating with PNG files for personal projects for a while) so I can't remember if I went through all of this when I set up Photoshop again, but I'll check if I have those installed later, or whether it works. Windows is doing a stupid on my laptop atm... :/)
If that doesn't work, Gimp (possibly with a DDS plugin? Can't remember from the setup but I don't think so) can also work with DDS files.
