Hi there,
I've been trying to create a new recipe which is essentially a recolor of the 'Breadsticks' item that is in the Get to Work bake section.
I have seen Andrew's script for adding new recipes via snippets.
I have been looking at Leniad's custom cupboard recipes too. Aswell as the tutorials they have written.
I have been able to find the XML files for recipes and other things as well as the breadsticks models from the game. But I feel like I'm missing some key parts because when I load the .package file in it fails.
So my questions are:
I am a software developer so I understand coding but I am not familiar with Python and new to Sims 4 modding. I would love any help but especially someone to point out HOW to do these things if possible so I can learn what to do.
Thanks so much!

I have been able to find the XML files for recipes and other things as well as the breadsticks models from the game. But I feel like I'm missing some key parts because when I load the .package file in it fails.
So my questions are:
- Is there an easy way to debug when things are erroring in the game? I see there is a sims4.log.Logger. Where does this get sent too?
- Is there a way I can find the 'Bake' crafting section.
Leniad (in an above linked post) says there's these EA section:<T>13059<!--bar_StartCrafting--></T>
<T>13293<!--cupcakemaker_StartCrafting--></T>
<T>13387<!--fridge_Cook--></T>
<T>13389<!--fridge_CookGourmet--></T>
<T>35026<!--grill_StartCrafting--></T>
<T>13601<!--microwave_StartCrafting--></T>
<T>10163<!--stove_CookGourmet--></T>
<T>14344<!--stove_StartCrafting--></T>
<T>14595<!--woodworkingTable_StartCrafting--></T>
<T>24105<!--woodworkingTable_StartCrafting_Instrument--></T>
<T>9088<!--woodworkingTable_StartCrafting_Sculpture--></T>
But how would I find the 'Bake' one?
- Is there a way to write a script to find the bake recipes such as breadsticks so I can export and change the meshes/metadata?
