I am wondering if there is a way to change a mannequin's mesh, but still have it function. I know they are just sims without the AI, so it has to do with tuning. I wanted to make like mannequin heads to display hats in a clothing store, or a torso just to display shirts. I'm making something specific that needs these things. I'm wondering if maybe Bakie knows about this kind of tuning? I just need to know if it's possible, and if it is, how to do it. Even a "no, it's not possible" is an appreciated answer. Thanks!

sims4studio.com/thread/10175/excludepartflags-information could help. As far as I know the head is a special one as hair can not be applied. For random reasons I had many sims with a mannequin head and couldn't fix them in CAS. If it works one could move the still visible mannequin part with T.O.O.L. accordingly.

Yeah, I know that, in order to have hair on a mannequin, you have to convert a hairstyle into an accessory. But I just need to change certain parts to sell certain items. I'll check out that link, thanks! Edit: I'm sorry, but the link you gave me has nothing to do with changing a mannequin's mesh. :(

For changing the mesh you should export the model and use Blender to remove the unwanted parts. I haven't worked with the mannequins in game, so I don't know what they do or how they work. I think best thing to do is change the mesh in blender and see if without changing anything else, the object still works when trying to put clothes on it.

I have no idea how standard sims or mannequins behave if you remove mesh parts. Actually you want to dress them in CAS so it may be a good idea to have a complete rig and mesh, even if you add only a hat.

Bakie o19I already changed the mesh, that's why I'm asking here. See, what happens is, I change the mesh to just be a mannequin head or torso (etc), and when I go to place it, it looks fine until I click to set it down, then it turns into the original mannequin. I want to be able to display partial mannequins and dress them in CAS, like taking the head and setting it on a table. I figured, since the mannequin is a sim with the AI removed, it may have something to do with the tuning. Trust me, I wouldn't ask here if I hadn't already tried it myself.
