I have a model in Blender and need to change the many parts of clothing (goal is to have a full-body one piece item of clothing) into a single mesh. However, the outfit I have is complicated and joining some parts of it would look really bad. For instance, my character has a jacket that is worn open and an under garment top and shorts on underneath. At different angles you will be able to see very far into the gap. My question is MUST all components be joined or is it OK to leave some unjoined? For instance, I guess I could join the inside back of the jacket to the outside back of the top, but it'd only join at one thin place so as not to expose the "join" to view at different angles. The jacket and top: imgur.com/9jxWhR5Another example is the skirt in my outfit. It is supposed to be a half-open skirt, more like a "waist cape", if you know what I mean. Is it OK to leave that mostly open like it is already? It will join at the waist to the sorts, but it's supposed to be open and flowing. The skirt: imgur.com/oHSUtl9And finally, the sleeve. It is supposed to be open, but should I close the sleeve hole gap (put faces in it)? The particular style of the sleeves on the jacket are supposed to be slightly behind the arms of the model. There are arm holes in the front top of the sleeve face where the arms are supposed to come out. Hi. You do not need to close or connect anything in your case since it will be visible from many angles. What you can do is delete those parts that are completly hidden, no need to close the holes. However, i must warn you that you will have a hard time rigging this mesh so might want to watch some weight editing tutorial if you havent already
