I was trying to take an Item that I had in build mode and make a mirror image of it. I made a copy of the original item and exported the mesh. Then I mirrored the mesh over the x-axis in Blender and imported it into the copy. I already had a lot with the original item in it and when I went to that lot, the item that I had already placed had been replaced with the mirrored version. There only appears to be the mirrored version in the item selection. I thought the problem might be that they have the same name, but changing that didn't fix it. I need to find a way to have both items. Anyone have any ideas?

You likely overwrote the original by copying the package. Try this: - delete the mirrored .package
- copy the original to C:\Users\[user]\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods
- close and reopen s4s
- make a new object as normal, then select "custom" under the content dropdown
- clone the item and make your changes

Ok, that worked. Thank you!
