I'm attempting to make a custom swatch for face paints and when I load the base, the textures don't show up. I'm not sure if It's a loading problem with my computer or if it's a bug in the program. When I tried exporting the texture, it just showed up as a blank transparent image. Is anyone else having the same problem, and is there a way to fix it?

I am having the same problem with lipsticks. Could it be an error about the snowy escape?

The same here. I want to make eyes in facepaint section. Can´t export and import the texture, it isn´t showing and if I want add swatches the s4s program is closing.
Edited: I used everytime the nose facepaint, it don´t work but I tried another facepaint, this worked.

Can any of you confirm whether these are LRLE textures you're having trouble with (in which case that's why you're having trouble, but there may be a solution) or another type?

I honestly don't know what LRLE textures are but when I try to export the diffuse map of the lipsticks they are blank. they seem blank when i'm on s4s too. but their specs are visible and i can export normally.
i also have problems importing/saving shadow and spec maps after the snowy escape update so i thought maybe it's about the update.
edit: maybe it's about the sims 4's latest updates/patch bc some makeup has diffuse textures but some doesn't.

No, this is different than the problem with specular and shadow maps. The issue with the texture images for skintones, some eye colors, some makeup, etc. has to do with the new resource type, and possible new image format, used for them. It's a known issue that has been going on since at least sometime early in the summer as EA makes changes to the back end of certain content, and it is related to the reason why certain default skintones and eyes have needed to be updated.
(When you convert existing CC to the new resource type, the image itself remains the same as it always was -- I figured out you could just change the resource type back and forth between LRLE and RLE2 as much as you want on CC default replacement skintones, etc. when someone else asked -- but I just spent a bunch of time this afternoon arguing with LRLE resources from the game and I cannot get them to become comprehensible by S4S, other tools, GIMP, etc. so my best guess is that the actual game files aren't DDS images anymore.)
I'm not sure there's any way to get at the original texture for some of these items right now. Further down the line, when someone has figured the new format out, this should change. And we can still replace things we previously had textures for, and we might even be able to can replace things we can't get the textures for with textures that aren't based on the inaccessible originals (I haven't tried that yet) (I just tried it, it totally works), and we should still be able to create totally new CC in all the broad categories (i.e. lipstick, face paint, etc.) because there should still be something cloneable in all of them.
