So it's been a few months I decided to take a shot at making CC again. I made this dress but when I import it it just doesn't work right. Please excuse the lazy exported UV texture: - Mesh is rigged, at least in Blender
- The DressPanels dress is used as a template
- There is only one armature in the .blend with no floating bones
- There is no leftover vertex groups that's not tied to bones
- The mesh is vertex painted with 00FF00 all over except the skirt and breast area that is 3FFF00
- There is only one vertex color map named Col
- I believe I did the uv_1 right
- There are only two uvs, uv_0 and uv_1
- The cut is 0000
What am I missing? If you want to look at the .blend, it is here. I appreciate any help thanks.

Hi. In newer versions of Blender the default settings for Transfer weights differ from those in 2.7. Now, by default you only transfer one vertex group, while the rest are added with zero values. No idea who they thought that was a good idea, but all you need to do is just change the settings. These are the settings that will give you the best results A few other things: - do not join the body with the garment until the later is rigged, vertex painted and has proper uv_1; - do not remove doubles on the reference. See how stretched the uvs are in uv_1? These stretched areas will highlight with white when you hover on the dress in CAS; - there are uvs in the place meant for accessories in uv_0, zoom out

Thanks for the reply. I did use 2.76b, use of 2.8 or 2.9 makes .blends unimportable for 2.76 as well as Sims 4 studio if I recall correctly. I do not recall doing the clean and limit total sections so maybe that's the problem. Also thanks for the advice.

I do not know starting from what version they changed it but 2.76 already has it, so you need to change the settings

Everything worked except I think the uv_1. I did join the mesh to the body after transferring the uv_1, but probably screwed up somewhere I think. So when I go in CAS I see this, but otherwise it works fine: This is what the uv_1 inthe area looks like, I don't have any idea what is wrong maybe the bit at the bottom that's probably the cap on the bottom of the skirt?

This is how the body is mapped in uv_1 As you see, only on half of the body fits in the uvs space ( grey area ). That is because dmaps( responsible for morphing ) depict only one half of the body and are mirrored to the other by ts4 What you are seeing is caused by the fact that uvs at the back go beyond uv space in a place where it is not allowed Select them like in the pic, press S X and scale them a bit away from the borders
