Firstly, thank you so much for this tool and this forum - it is incredibly helpful. Second, apologies if this has been asked over and over again, I am not sure if I found the answer right answer, so just want to confirm I'm in the right ball park/ask for some tips on best practice. I just recently learned how easy it is to create basic recolours thanks to this TS4 Studio and looking to step up my [very basic] game and recolour and 'empty' some of the existing objects from existing EA shelves, cabinets etc. So any shelf that has "stuff" on it already, I want to take those objects away and add slots so that I can decorate them myself. I think, that the tutorial for doing that is this one about how to remove mesh groups: sims4studio.com/thread/4490/delete-hide-mesh-group-removeIs that correct? Is there another way to do things ie by importing a 'generic' clear mesh or something to get rid of the existing textures? Hope I make sense. Thanks again for everyone's helpful suggestions on here.

It depends on the shelf. If all the objects you want to remove are in the same s4studio_mesh_(number) layer, you will need at least 3 vertices (One face) in that layer and make it small enough so it is hidden. (Just like the tutorial you linked to.) (IMO a better and faster method is: With face selection on select one face, go into vertice selection, Invert selection (Ctrl+I), Delete, Select all (A), Shift+S Cursor to Center, Shift+S Selection to Cursor.) In some cases the objects are in the same layer as the shelf, in which case you will delete all the vertices of just the objects. You will need to do this with each LOD and Shadow LOD. (Just export and import LOD 0 and Shadow LOD 0 over the others if you don't want the extra work.) Just removing the objects isn't the end of it since the textures usually have the shadows baked into the textures, so some image editing (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.) is needed. After that, you will need to add new deco slots. sims4studio.com/thread/4420/use-sims-studios-slot-editor
