When I try and click the ‘create standalone object’ button. It says something about not being able to create an item due to a patch. Please try updating your sims 4 studio but there isn’t a new available update

Hi what version of sims4studio are you on? Is your game fully updated? Do you run the legacy edition?

In order to use the latest and the only supported version of Sims 4 Studio 3.1.4.2 your game needs to be fully patched. If it is fully patched it will work with the latest version of S4S.

I am using the latest version of sims 4 not the legacy edition and the 3.1.3.6 version but not the beta version of sims 4 studio. When I install the beta version of Sims 4 studio it gives me a warning saying ‘Windows protected your pc’. Should I bypass this?

You will not be able to create any CAS content until you update S4S. The error message is telling you exactly what is wrong and how to fix it. (And 3.1.3.6 was also a beta version.)
One of the ways antivirus programs and other security measures decide whether software is safe for people to run is by whether it recognizes the program and/or the site you downloaded it from. They also often DON'T consider whether you already have a version of the software installed. For that reason, it is incredibly common for them to falsely flag software from small developers as dangerous, because the program is simply not well known enough for it to evaluate, and the source website is usually the devs's small domain or a filehosting site (one is unknown, the other is well known and isn't inherently unsafe, but can't be considered a trusted source either), so it errs on the side of caution. If YOU know that the program you have just downloaded should be safe, AND you know you have downloaded it from a safe place (i.e. the developer's own site or link), then you have information that your security software does not have.

You don’t have an option which version to use with fully updated game. Only the newest one will work. If you get any errors after installing it go over all offered solutions from a troubleshooting thread. sims4studio.com/thread/9484/error-reports-sims-studio-wishes
