Hello! Since I updated s4s my textures are importing super slow. I tried dds and png and the result is the same. Before the update it was instantaneous. Why is that?

Also my package size is VERY big after importing the textures. 2,5x the usual size.
Edit: Sorry, I bumped my thread... Anyway in game the package works but I cannot keep doing cc like this. I don't know what is happening. Took me hours to import only the textures and the final package is over 250 mb.

I was trying to make the sliders work with my hairs. Maybe I broke the package. But I don't remember doing anything unusual.
Someone can help me to make this work right? I got the concept but I still have a problem with my textures. I converted all textures to the new format, saved the package. I managed to create a facepaint containing all my swatches with linked textures. They are not duplicates. Wich means the player can choose to play with the sliders or not while it keeps the same textures. My method works but the package has a ridiculous size and I got a lot of fragments on my textures during the conversion. I need to fix these two things to it be perfect.

Yeah, the main reason why I asked about your package file in this particular case was because I suspected it was LRLE-related. I see this hair also uses great big HQ mod textures. The combination of those two things explains what's happening pretty well -- the textures are huge, there are almost a hundred of them, LRLE is an uncompressed image format, and we've only been able to make enough sense of it to be able to do anything with it for a bit under two weeks. On account of the last point I'll tag andrew in case he wants to take a look at your file, but even if how much longer your import times are, or how much bigger your file sizes are, turn out to be out of the ordinary, the fact that they're different than what you are used to seeing with other image formats at all is not a problem, it's just a difference -- and the reason why we did not have any LRLE support at all in any TS4 modding tools at all until a week ago is how different LRLE is from the other image formats used by The Sims 4. (I've been corrected about LRLE, it is compressed (I got crossed up about the uncompressed DDS files and forgot that the reason to use an uncompressed DDS is because the texture is then going to be compressed as S4S converts it to LRLE, and you don't want to compress it twice) but it's considered lossless compression.)

Yeah. It makes sense. I sent the package containing the textures only. If the others are needed I can send them to you guys. Thanks! I'm excited to work with these new possibilities with the LRLE files.
