Hey...there is this question running through my mind for some time now. If I make some mesh element in Blender, I UV unwrap it as an island, than I duplicate once or multiple times (just the same) this element that now share same UV island (and therefor same texture) and place those duplicates in different positions and rotations in the scene, it basically means that than I cannot really bake ambient occlusion map for that scene because for each of those duplicates AO is going to be different and they cannot bake one over each other on the same UV island? Or am I missing something here that makes is possible after all?

Hi. You are right about it. However, you can fake it. Find an element that would yield the most universal result and bake ao only for it.
