I've been taking masculine skirts and repainting the vertex paint so they stop "floating" around the masculine frame. It works like a charm, the skirts actually fit the body as they should, but when my sim walks, there's a lot of tearing: I have a hard time with the tutorials I've seen, but I wonder if I need to paint the inside of the skirt a different color? I used #007f00 because it gave the best fitting result, but maybe that was not the best move? Any thoughts or input would be appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Hi. You used a color meant for accessories and hair. There is a color meant specifically for skirts. The inner part should be painted with it as well Vertex paint dictates what variation (skin-tight and robe-like) of deformation maps the painted area will deform according to in CAS during body customization and animation. 00FF00 is for skint-tight areas, 3FFF00 is for any skirt-like area ( skirts, bottom parts of dresses, coats, aprons, etc). Start by choosing 00FF00 and Paint - Set vertex color 1). Disable Limit selection to visible; 2). Holding Ctrl, lasso-select the bottom part of the mesh starting somewhere in the middle of the pelvic bone; 3). Enable sync; 4). Press B and deselect legs; 5). Switch to Vertex paint and enable Face selection masking for painting; 6). Type in 3FFF00; 7). Paint - Set vertex colors; 8). Press A twice to deselect and select everything again, Paint - Smooth vertex colors If this won’t help, re-transfer weights from a skirt of the same length for feminine frame. If it won’t help, it’s best to give up or you will spend forever trying to manually adjust it

Thank you, mauvemorn, for your help! I followed the instructions, only now I'm sort of back where I started from with the mesh "floating". The skirts that show up for males in the Studio float out around masculine frames and that is what I was trying to avoid by repainting. The pencil skirt fits better for some reason with the accessory paint: vs I guess at this point I am just out of luck, because any weight transfers would have to come from these items that already don't fit correctly. If you have any further suggestions you think might help, I would appreciate it, and I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you, I wanted to try the steps and get my results. Thank you again!
