I'm trying to make some primitive/prehistoric style clothing for my history challenge, but I've run into a snag with this poncho. Basically what I'm asking is: is there a good tutorial for transferring weights when there's nothing similar to copy from in the main Sims 4 catalogue? Or do I need to do it manually?

Hi. The image does not load. If you're making a regular poncho, you most likely won't succeed at adapting it. There is a reason there's nothing like this among maxis items This is how the mesh will look like in cas if you'll make it the right way. The only way around it is to retopologize the mesh in a way that it is very low poly in the area where that deformation happens. So low poly that there will simply be nothing to deform. However, even if you succeed at it, once the sim will raise their arms, you will the downright of it.
