Hopefully, I can explain this in a way that makes sense. I'd like to learn more about how the game handles certain things; an example would be what composition method and sort layers are responsible for, etc. I feel like if I had a more intuitive understanding of the game then I can solve problems on my own without having to bug y'all, lol. Some of you are really knowledgeable. How did you obtain that knowledge? I guess I'm wondering if there's an online manual EA has put out or something that I can refer to when I have questions. If this question isn't appropriate to ask here let me know and I'll remove it. Thanks! Edit: Gonna answer my own question. Looks like there's a lot here. If there's any other documention that's helpful please let me know.

Hi. Wouldn't really say that this info is easy to interpret for ppl who don't know how to code but here's a thread about sort and composition layers They don't go in depth of how exactly the game does it, if that is what you want tho

Thanks, Mauvemorn. I guess I was hoping for something more comprehensive. Mostly, I'd to know more about what's in the warehouse and what each entry does and why.
Did you guys learn in bits and pieces through experience? That's what I'm thinking and that's the hard way to learn things, lol.

We did All informations are scattered everywhere, and all ressource also depends on what you're trying to do. Everytime we try to do something new, new questions arise and we help each other answering them. A lot of issues have been solved, so usely when you want to make something you can just type on google "Sims 4 studio + ....", and there's a big change you find a topic discussing it. There is no manual, and there are many entries we still not understand what they are used for. I don't even think writing a manual would be useful: it would take forver, and no one would read it, as usually people ask questions here without researching before. So yeah, the learning curve is a bit steep, but every obstacle will make you understand things better
