Hello! I want to make a mod for sims to play on the computer online. What tutorial would you recommend?

I'm not sure what you mean, they can technically already play online. Could you describe this in more detail?

I'm not sure what you mean, they can technically already play online. Could you describe this in more detail? I would like my Sims to cheat (and get banned) in addition to playing fair online. I still don't encourage anyone to cheat in online games like CS or Dota, I just want my sims to become cheaters.

Ah, so you want to add a cheat option while they are playing the games that then has a chance to get banned. Well, there are a couple of ways you could possibly do this, but the absolute simplest is to either override or clone the online games you want to add cheating to. It depends on if you want there to be a non-cheating option, which from what you were describing sounds like it, so cloning it is. So once you've cloned the interactions you can either adjust and add the relevant info to the outcomes (slightly harder for a beginner in my opinion), or create a loot that gives a RandomWeightedLoot with two or more options. One option could be "safe from ban" and the other could be the "banned" option you are looking for. This way it's random and not guaranteed to happen all the time. So your first step is to find the relevant interactions, the easiest way to do this would be to open a computer object tuning. Inside the object tuning is a super_affordances list at the very bottom, go through it for the online games you need, then clone the interactions. Add a loot to your .package and a RandomWeightedLoot, clone as well. Make the regular loot link to the RWL, and in the RWL create your random chance stuff as you want. Go back to your interactions and add your regular loot to one of the lootlists in the outcome. Now inject the interactions with XML Injector. I think that should be it. I'd recommend starting with just one game first to get the process down and then go from there. Here are some resources to get you started: TuningScarlet's Beginner tutorials (starting on page 2): www.simsvip.com/category/the-sims-4/how-to-create-a-mod/page/2/Zer0's tutorials (for beginners and beginning intermediate, covers social interactions, buffs, Mod Constructor and much more): www.patreon.com/posts/tutorials-35031545www.patreon.com/posts/mod-constructor-45356828How to Start a Custom Tuning File: www.patreon.com/posts/how-to-start-38023976How to Add Custom Icons to Your Mod: www.patreon.com/posts/how-to-add-icons-42171247How to Unlock Interactions: www.patreon.com/posts/how-to-unlock-38446873And then you need the TDESCs and TDESC Browser as it helps you understand how files are built and what each thing does. Zer0’s tutorials linked above have 3 different tutorials on how to use the TDESC, so make sure to read them to understand how TDESCs work. Or download one of the programs. File Finder is very useful and highly recommended, even if you don’t use the XML Extractor for modding. modthesims.info/d/563256/xml-extractor-for-the-sims-4.htmlTuning Error Notifier is to help you make sure you don’t make mistakes. scumbumbomods.com/tuning-error-notifier/There are tools that handle injecting for you for common areas, so you don’t need to focus on scripting until the time is right.
