I have been trying to create a custom television based upon a stock one, but although the new model imported correctly as far as I can determine, and the interaction works in Sims live mode, the television screen simply shows a black screen (with sound) rather than any channel programming. The screen object is present in the model, taken from the original. Is there some specific parameter that needs to set up in Blender or the Sims4Studio app to make it properly active?
This is the first interactive cc I have attempted, having only worked with basic recolors and creating static models, so the complexities of tunings and such are new to me.

TV Screens in Sims 4 don't actually have a screen, it's like a weird permanent effect. You'll need to remove the one from the model you imported in order for the video to be seen.

The "screen" of the mode has been removed, with the object representing the in-game display area taking its place, but it still does not work properly in live mode — interactive but showing only black with sound only, as noted above. Removing this latter object breaks things entirely, suffice to say.

I made an attempt with a very simple test model and managed to get it to work. I'm going to see if there is simply something wrong with the other mesh that is interfering. Thanks for your help!

Just a quick followup so that anyone finding this thread knows how it was resolved— found an Blender issue with the original model that was flipping the normals of the "videosurface" object. Once this was fixed, everything worked properly. Again, thanks for your help!
