So I'm working on Evelynn's hair from the K/DA "MORE" music video, but I'm having some issues with it. I finished the LOD 0 mesh (all weights, both UVs, vertex paint, etc.) and brought it into game and it looked...strange. There's some weird shiny boxes/zig-zags going around the head, as well as some weird dark shadows/discoloration on the bangs.
(In the above picture, I pointed out that the hairline mesh was clipping with the head, but I fixed that issue since taking these screenshots, so ignore that part)
And another picture without the red markups so you can see it more clearly:
At first I thought it might be an issue with the specular or the normal map, so I removed them in Studio, but the issue remained. I've tried recalculating the normals, double-checking the vertex paint, importing the mesh into a fresh .package, all of those basic fixes that you try before you resort to asking for help, and so far nothing has worked. I've never seen anything like this before, and I haven't seen anybody else post anything like this on the forums, so I'm really at a loss! If anyone knows of any threads that deal with this issue, please link me!
There's also a really weird issue with the hairline part of the mesh; there's another weird shine that from some angles appears light:
And from other angles appear dark:
Here's a picture from Blender so that you can see what the hair SHOULD look like, without the weird shadows:
Like I said, I'm at a loss! I'm not sure what's causing this issue, and I'm so new to making hair that I'm not sure if this is a rare problem or if it's actually quite common and there's a super easy fix. Apologies in advance if it ends up being a noob issue!
