Hello, I have been trying painstakingly for the last week to make CC from scratch, I have tried 3 different tutorials mainly which seem to be the most comprehensive, but each is missing details of various kinds. However no matter the tutorial I try to follow when I try to do a data transfer exactly like they do it (I am using blender 2.79) I am supposed to be getting something like this i.ibb.co/wctWS5f/ruined-3.png i.ibb.co/w44xrQG/ruined-4.png i.ibb.co/hsRtJPz/ruined-5.png(SCREENSHOTS FROM EACH OF THE 3 TUTORIALS I'VE TRIED TO FOLLOW) But I get this i.ibb.co/BNGxWq5/ruined-2.png (no change at all when I go to UV 1 on my mesh) or this i.ibb.co/gywTCkC/ruined-1.png (just an orange dot at the bottom of the UV screen) Please Help me any way you can I am about to lose my mind I have been trying to do this for 2 years now to no avail, Is it me doing something wrong, or is it the blender I am using. [LINKS HERE TO THE 3 TUTORIALS]

Hi. How to transfer a uv_1 map: - make sure both the reference and your mesh are visible and selectable; - select your mesh, add a new map, name it uv_1; - add Data transfer modifier, choose the reference as Source object, set the rest like in the pic, apply in Object mode. First and foremost, on your first screenshot, you are in Object mode. The uvs appear only in Edit mode when they are selected. You are seeing a texture, not uvs. There can be a few causes of why the uvs did not transfer: - you did not click on UVs ( a button highlighted with blue in step #2); - your reference was not visible or selectable ( eye and cursor button); a few other reasons that are certainly not the cause but would lead to the same result, so for the future: - the uv map had different names and were not joined ( orange dot ); - the sync between uv selection and 3d section is turned off and you're only seeing the uvs of the selected body, not the garment.

So when I am adding a uv_1 should there already be a uv_0 on my mesh? Because when I go to add it there is already a uv_0 and a uv_1 and when I click on the uv_1 on my mesh before I do the data transfer my sims skin turns weird.

When you export your garment from MD, it comes with a uv map. You rename this uv map to uv_0. This uv map dictates how the textures are projected on the surface of a 3d model. Then you add a new uv map by clicking on the + button. The new uv map is a duplicate of the first one at this point. You need to rename it to uv_1 and transfer uvs from the uv_1 of the reference. This map dictates how the garment will morph.
Blender does not function the same way ts4 does. There can be hundreds of uv maps and all of them will be used to project texture on the surface of a 3d model. So when you switch from one uv map to another, the way the texture is projected changes

But this link is what I ended up with. Another tiny dot at the bottom left of the UV www.mediafire.com/file/zitw9vfc5oqsju8/BB+crop+shirt.obj/fileHere is my obj file from MD of my shirt, maybe it's the shirt?

I cannot tell what you did wrong by the end result since, as I mentioned, there are multiple causes of the same issue. Watch this video starting from 3:00 to 3:30 and compare

You did not click on UVs in the Data transfer modifier. Scroll up to my reply in the second post, under VCol there is a selected button called UVs. Click on it. Also, when you set the image as a background in uv_0, the uvs stretch vertically. You must shrink them in half with S Y 0,5 before placing anywhere

The second video in the OP's post is terrible. Do not use it.
