Hello,
Brand new to all this so I'm a bit lost... :/
I am trying to change the tuning on the medicine bottles to allow them to be stored in the dorm chests. I made a override and changed the tuning and added the new inventory type, but then in game I can no longer interact with the medicine bottles nor do they show up in my Sims inventory when I order them on the computer, nor are they able to go into the old and new inventory types. any suggestions?

How can I find that? when I open the file in S4S the tuning still has my name...I don't know how to look at custom tuning so I cant see it. :/

The custom tuning would be imported into your medicine package, or another package if you chose that option. Which tutorial did you follow? It seems to me like you maybe just changed the tuning name in the object definition but didn't actually make a new file, try this and lookup the original medicine bottles tuning (which is object_MedicineBottle or 105657 for easy reference).

is there a way to look up and view custom tuning? or can we only look up, veiw, and export EA tuning? I didn't really follow a tutorial, I have successfully changed the tuning on some objects to give them a inventory and to make objects go into a Sims inventory, so I just used the same steps but added the inventory type in the tuning. I have redone this particular project 3 times and every time it does the same thing. :/ Edit: this is the tutorial that I used-ish sims4studio.com/thread/1585/make-object-sims-inventory

The Export Tuning option will only look for and find official EA tuning from the game files. When you open your package, if you followed the tutorial as you say, you should have an Object Tuning entry in the Warehouse View along with all the other resources. It is missing from your package so your bottle is looking for tuning that is not there. Are you sure you didn't delete it by mistake? Custom tunings can only exist in packages that you have created.
