I'm fixing a lot of other people's CC I have downloaded in the past, because apparently they didn't test their stuff in game to make sure it works. I want to ask, how do you add a hat cut to a hat that doesn't have one? Similarly, how do you take away a hat cut? Can you do this somewhere in the warehouse?
I tried to fix a tiny tophat with a hat cut to not have one, because it didn't need one. I cloned a left wrist base game object, put all the meshes and texture in, and made the category "hats." However, it still acts like a left wrist object and makes any actual left wrist object disappear. I have a lot of people's CC that make something else disappear despite being in a different category.
I hope I explained this properly. If you need pictures, I can provide them.

Hi. Hats themselves do not have "hat cuts", hair does. Hats are just tuned to make the hair item switch to an appropriate meshgroup upon interaction with it. The same goes for accessories, they are tuned to be hidden by sleeves or collars. So what you need to do is to change that tuning Hi. To prevent the hair from switching to a hat chop, edit Region map of your camera.
-switch to Warehouse tab, click on Region map, then on Edit Entries or something like this; -select the first entry, change Layer to 0, RegionType to Base; -select the second entry and just Remove it; -save
Note that you should not be deleting entries like this for other categories of CC. This is ok only for hats

Select Base and change RegionType to HairHatC, press Copy, select the second entry, change to HairHatA. Change layers in both entries to 20001
Bear in mind that the hat is not in the right place to interact with hat chops properly, like, there will be a gap. So you'd need to adjust the placement of it in Blender
