okay I'm a bit new to cc and still figuring out how all of this works, and like an idiot decided to dive into making cc windows with no idea what I'm doing. So far I have the new mesh created, scaled to the correct size, and have everything split into the correct groupings (north window frame, south window frame, inner frame, etc etc). I've unwrapped the mesh but haven't cleaned up the uv yet and I haven't even touched the texture, I'm just trying to make sure that the actual mesh itself works properly before I mess with the rest of it. The issue is when I try to upload the new mesh to s4s, part of the old window mesh is still showing in the viewport and some of the new mesh has disappeared entirely. I have absolutely no idea what went wrong. If somebody could take a look and explain what I'm missing, it would be much appreciated.

Make sure you are changing the "cut" numbers of your new mesh and removing them from the original mesh if it's still in the .blend. Take a look at THIS tutorial, step 34.

Ok, so... First off the inside top of the "ledge" is well not there at all in the mesh. I think maybe you deleted it at some point by mistake... This like most objects has multiple meshes that make it work. this has 2 LOD's Levels of Detail. You changed One. But not the other. Some Objects are made differently from others even say from window to window depending on the style and what is needed to make it work. Also note This base window's 2nd mesh is now the same as the first one. Select it then switch to texture and you see the texture is NOT the same as for the primary mesh that uses a texture for the solid and one for the glass. Windows can get a bit complicated. I like what you're going for here. This is a "missing" window. Simple privacy 2 panels. I am messing with Build mode stuff myself and well. ugh. It's an uphill battle to learn things tbh. Information is disorganized and some info is vague or deep in threads. Keep in mind also, SOME windows, arches, doors, lord knows what else... have an issue with the mesh going "sorta see-through" where shadows of other things can be seen through the mesh. Peace has a tutorial on what to do to "fix" this in your object. Also, the LODs of windows and doors vary as I said. keep that in mind. Some have Diagonal Versions. I HATE them. Some are simple and easy to use with straightforward textures and glass separation. IDK if you have the meshes saved with your progress. but your mesh is missing parts, and you need more meshes. Keep it up! you're on the right track. Good Luck.
