sorry, it won't let me post on the suggestions thing and i wasn't sure where else to go... in the warehouse, there are HideForOccultFlags, and in the studio there are Occult tags. i'm looking for a way to batch edit the tags so that all of the HideForOccultFlags are empty, but, only human (or no occult at all) is tagged in studio mode. this way, from my testing, i am able to select the clothing manually in CAS for all the occults. BUT, it does not randomise on the occult sims. which would be ideal. for example if you have occult tagged for Alien and then there is alien night at the bar, they are able to use this clothing item. even though it is disabled for random and liverandom! if you use the batch fix to disallow for Aliens, then, it also ticks the HideForOccultFlags and stops you being able to manually use the item in CAS. so please, i am looking for a way to batch remove the Occult tags in studio, while keeping the HideForOccultFlags in warehouse empty. otherwise, the only way to achieve this is to manually re-tag every swatch of every cc. i hope this makes sense.

You can't do it in batches for a folder, but you should be able to batch swatches of a single CC item with CAS Tools, but if you need help with it you have to ask for support on MTS or the download thread. I know it's not a batch fix but it at least should make things easier until a better solution comes up. I will try posting a suggestion later and link your thread so that maybe they can remove the HideForOccultFlags in the batcher.

I haven't done really extensive testing yet, but I was working on this issue last night and found that using the Disallow batchfix followed by the Allow batchfix, for each occult type, seemed to produce CC that didn't have anything except Human checked in the Studio tags, but also didn't have any of the 'Hide for Occult' boxes checked.
(I got as far as pulling up an alien in CAS and confirming that plenty of CC was available for them in their alien form, but didn't look at other occults yet and didn't create a fresh save so I could be sure any Sims I spotted were new.)

Thankyou to both of you for your replies! I will look into CASTools, never tried that out before, thanks for the heads up. And I'll give the disallow-allow batches a try. I wonder why it is that occults get a different random filter anyway? But hopefully something works out! Editing so that I don't bump too much(?): The disallow-allow does the trick! Now have to doing the tags for things I want to make random manually, but, that is many many times more efficient than the opposite! Maybe the future these options will be tweaked, to work this way, or another option like MizoreYukii has said But for now, all my things are tagged no to random for occults, BUT can be used in CAS on purpose, so I am happy. Also not related but Vampire Sim still dress awful, but that is EA items, not CC items, wonder for why their random options are so weird.

Well, with the way it's set up now -- with separate allow for random flags for each occult type, as well as separate controls for whether it's available at all for each occult type -- it's very customizable if you know what you're doing. You can have content that's allowed for random for only the specific occult type or types you want it on, content that's only visible in CAS for the specific occults you want it on (which can also be allowed for random, or not), etc. It could, however, stand to be more clearly labeled/controlled. It took me a while to figure out that just 'disallow for random' was NOT hacking it and then what to do about it.

IS there a way to do batch-fix again to make things random on X occult? Redoing "Allow" doesn't seem to be the answer. I don't mind doing the items separately though as I say

Doubling up, sorry:
I was curious why there were two Allow for Mermaids batch fixes, and did a little bit testing.
This first one (in middle of disallow vampires and disallow mermaids) works the same as all the others from before.
This second one (below seasons basic) checks the "mermaid random" tag, meaning the one in Studio we discussed.
Perhaps would be useful to have two separate allow fixes for all the occults, not only mermaids? And maybe some minor word clarifications for people like me who just can't figure it out :P :P
A hopefully final thing to mention is the ability to batch for "remove all outfit categories" and / or "add all outfit categories" would be nice. I did update for seasons for some old CC, and now they ALL became tagged for hot and cold weather oh dear.
